Through collaboration and innovation the NSFA strives to reach our goal of ensuring that natural resources education, with a specific focus on forestry, is available to all students in Nova Scotia. By exposing young Nova Scotians to natural resources education, we hope to instill a passion, interest and knowledge in them, which will enable them to grow up contributing to a society which is prosperous, productive, healthy and economically sustainable.
In order to achieve our goal, the NSFA delivers two main education programs, the Nova Scotia Envirothon and a Forest Education program. We also assist with the coordination and delivery of the Atlantic Teachers’ Tour – Forest Worth Knowing.
